Trust in god's Faithfulness

Scripture Reading: Genesis 50: 22-26

Key Verse: .. you must carry my bones up form this place (Genesis 50:25b)

Meditation: At the age of 110 Joseph suddenly announce to his shocked family, "I am about to die." He does not rehearse his brothers cruelty towards his. Neither does he talk about being significantly used to save the whole know world from death and extinction during the seven-year famine. He addressed Israel's future destiny in the plan of God, attempting with his remaining strength to communicate his contagion of faith.

Joseph's parting words, filled profound confidence in God's faithfulness. extended beyond his present time to future generations: "God will surely come to your aid and then you must carry my bones up from this place." Joseph was so sure God would do it that he even extracted an oath that they would not bury his casket in Egypt. For the nest 400 years the Isrealities saw the epitaht, : Do not sure Me in Egypt." When the time of the exodus came, Moses, the new leader remebered and felt peorsonsally repsodilbe that the bones of JOseph be taken to the alnd of
Canaan.
